DESIGNS: Select the single-subject design that best fits your study based upon your research and understanding of each design (reversal, withdrawal, multiple baseline—across participants, behaviors, or settings, changing criterion, alternating treatment/multielement).
Describe why you selected it and how the design is specifically implemented within your hypothetical research study.
RESULTS: Create hypothetical data for your study. Describe the results of the intervention that was implemented.
Provide a graph of the data using the appropriate single-subject design graph.
Copy and paste the graph(s) into the same document as the rest of the assignment (do not submit separate files).
Graphs should use the guidelines from Chapter 6 of your Applied Behavior Analysis text, including chart title, data line with markers in black and white only, phase labels, phase change lines, figure caption, x axis line and label, y axis line and label, and any additional elements depending upon the individual single subject design.
Summarize results of the graph in a visual analysis (trend, level, variability) across and between phases.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT/RUBRIC
Written communication: Should be free of errors that detract from the overall message.
APA formatting: Use current APA style and formatting, paying particular attention to citations and references. Refer to Evidence and APA for citing and referencing tips.
Length: 7–9 double-spaced pages, not including the title page or reference page.
References: A minimum of four scholarly or professional resources.
Font and font size: Times New Roman, 12 point.

The essay consists of analyzing both the cinematographic aspects of the movie The Soloist (2009) and the psychological aspects of the character Nathaniel (Jamie Foxx) shown across the film, that display shizophrenic symptoms using DSM 5 and a cognitive theory that explains why schizophrenic happens, not the external manifestation but the subjective experience of the person who has schizophrenia. The analysis should be intertwined between psychological and cinematographic aspects, i.e., the relation between the color palette and emotions displayed by the characters, camera angles, etc.

The presentation is designed to expand your knowledge of areas of specialization in psychology and graduate school programs that prepare students for careers in that area. Select an area of specialization in psychology that interests you and a graduate program that offers a graduate degree (masters or doctoral) in that area. See Table 2.2 in the textbook for a list of areas from which to choose. Develop a PowerPoint Presentation in which you discuss the specialization and the graduate program. Make a list of 5 schools that you would be interested in applying and any application requirements (GRE, GPA). Include a slide with references and websites you used. You should have 15 to 20 slides, including one opening slide and one reference slide.

PSY 660 Social and Cultural Foundations
Journal Exploration Paper
Throughout the course of this semester, students will complete a journal exploration paper.
Using the Hatch Library database (or other source available to you), choose a peer reviewed
article from within the last ten years on any of the topics presented in the textbook related to
social and cultural issues AND theories in counseling. Any article older than ten years or not
peer reviewed will not be accepted, and the assignment will be considered late and not graded
until an appropriate article is found and submitted.
Once you have selected an article please email me the article for approval.
You must submit a copy of the article used along with your written assignment to Canvas. The
paper will be considered late and not graded until a copy of the article used is uploaded to
Canvas. If you have any questions about whether an article is peer reviewed, please do not
hesitate to ask. Points will be deducted for submitting the assignment late in accordance with the
late work policy as stated on the syllabus. The paper will be graded based upon content, format,
grammar, spelling, and punctuation as indicated in the grading rubric. One point will be deducted
for every three errors in grammar, spelling, or punctuation.
Important: The article must address both elements: social and cultural issues AND counseling
which may include aspects of the therapeutic process such as diagnostics, individual or group
treatment, psychopharmacology, transference, or other aspects relating to counseling.
You are to prepare a 3 page review of the article that includes the following elements.
