Within the Discussion Board area, write 300–500 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas. Using the Internet and CTU Library resources, select an existing company in any industry, and identify the following points: Introduction: Describe the company, its industry, and its business context. Critical incidents: Include any stories of the organization’s challenges or achievements. How did it overcome the challenges? How did it accomplish its achievements? Investment potential: Include any of its current issues that need to be addressed or its potential goals for growth. Conclusion: Would you invest in this company? Why or why not?
What differentiates a problem from a situation, or from a statement of fact or opinion? Why is the problem statement one of the most important elements in writing a successful doctoral dissertation? In your initial post (due on Day 3) answer these two questions, and then provide a publish of your general problem statement and your specific problem statement. Describe how these problem statements relate to your research topic in a short paragraph or two. Respond to at least two of your classmates by comparing your answers to the above questions. Use the insights you have gained in writing your own problem statements to help provide constructive feedback to peers on their problem statements. To receive full credit for the discussion, you must post your own assignment and respond to at least two classmates.
In your initial discussion post, due no later than Day 7 of Week 4, reflect on your learning about writing purpose statements. As you think about what you have learned this week, include answers to the following questions: What were the highlights of your learning, including concepts and ideas that will help you to identify and write a sound purpose statement? What additional information or support would be useful in helping you to write a purpose statement and align your problem and purpose statements?

After revising the Problem Statement Sample (Links to an external site.), create a Word document from the information you entered into the template, AND include a reference list at the end of the document.

She offers you a cup of coffee and is impressed with the information that you presented in the meeting and your understanding of new ventures. She says: “We’re ready to invest in a new generation of business leaders. There is so much talent arising from business schools, and the passion for entrepreneurism, innovation, and business excellence helps to build a strong economy. I’d like you to work with a multicultural team of entrepreneurs to develop a global small business. You will need to prepare an executive business plan overview for the global small business for the Board of Directors, a brand logo, and a prospective commercial that could be used to advertise the global small business’s product or service. If the global small business idea is successful, the Board of Directors may approve startup funding of up to $1 million.” Using the resources in the CTU Library, research entrepreneurism and small businesses, and create an executive business plan using this template that includes the following: Company Information: The name and background of your global small business including founders, history, current number of employees, and location. Mission Statement: The purpose of your global small business. Product or Service: A description of the products or services that your global small business will offer. Company Logo: An original creative graphic that identifies your company or brand. Market: The market for your global small business, including regions served and competitors. Advertising: Prepare a description of an original, creative commercial for the products or services offered; Include what advertising medium you would use (Social Media, TV, Radio, for example) and include the identified target audience Financials: The projected operational financial needs for your organization and the potential investments needed. Growth Potential: The projected financial and market growth of the company for the next 5 years. Provide a reference list of up to 3 resources at the end of your project of the resources you have found in the CTU Library, and include in-text citations for the articles in APA format.
This week, you have been exposed to multiple cultural theories. For this assignment, choose two theories and compare and contrast these theories in an infographic. Your infographic should include: The major tenants and assumptions of both theories side by side The strengths of both theories The limitations of both theories Two application examples of each theory in a real-world setting For information on creating an infographic, please refer to the Spotlight on Skills document located in the Getting Started module of this course. Length: 1-page infographic comparing the two culture theories References: Include a minimum of 3 scholarly resources.

In your initial post, due on Day 3 of Week 4, describe research alignment. Construct a working definition of alignment in your own words, citing the course textbook and other sources. Considering the general and specific problem statements you submitted in Week 3, what might be a viable purpose for your study? How does your purpose align with your specific problem statement? Make sure to include your specific problem statement AND your proposed purpose statement in your initial post.
Create a PowerPoint presentation that outlines the advantages and disadvantages of union representation, mandatory benefits in a bargaining package, how market factors may drive the bargaining process, and how these factors increase or decrease employee motivation or morale. Within your PowerPoint presentation, address how collective bargaining plays a role with employees. Identify mandatory benefits that should be included in a bargaining package. Discuss some possible market factors that impact the negotiation process. You must use the “Notes” feature in PowerPoint to add comments explaining each slide. Make certain to include 8–10 slides, not counting the title slide and references slide. You must use two resources (one must come from the Columbia Southern University Online Library, and blogs are not acceptable). Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used.
